Essay

The objects are Kyiv’s building and architecture of the late 19-th – early 20-th centuries. The aim is tо investigate the history of building and architectural art development of Kyiv as a holistic and determinate process, to find out the role of architectural trends in shape of Kyiv as administrative, financial,cultural and educational centre. The methods are problem-chronological, comparative, analytic and statistic. The dissertation analyses economic, cultural, religious factors in Kyiv’s building. There were received the results in the field of the history of Ukrainian culture. The spheres of application are the cultural and historical investigations, architecture, building.
