Essay

The dissertation is devoted to the description of the Greek Manuscripts in the National V.I. Vernadsky Library of Ukraine. For the first time 457 manuscripts have been researched, and their ways to book collections of Ukraine investigated. The history of previous descriptions, functional, typological and genre classification of codices and texts from the 4th to the 19th century, and the commented notes of the book scribes and owners are presented. The study is used in Greek Palaeography and Codicology, Byzantinistics, Book History and Library Science.
