There is a complex investigation of the socioeconomic, political and cultural developmentr of Maramoroshchina’s Ukrainians (Romania) in the inter-war period and durring the Second World War. Methods of investigation: problematic-chronological, comparative, analythical. It has been proved that a small branch of the Ukrainian nation, being in the composition of another state structures, managed to preserve its national traditions and customs without giving in to Hungarization, Romanization and decentralization.
