Objects of research: labor market and the sphere of employment of the Pryazovsky region. Purpose of research: the theoretical substantiation and the assessment of the influence of general and territory-oriented specifical social and economic factors on regional labor market formation and perfection, development of the methodology for regulating regional employment sector processes. Methods of research: methods of the science abstracts, economical, statistical and graphical analysis. Results: the role of labor market in market economy formation is determined; foreign and inside experience of employment processes regulation in the conditions of transient economy is analyzed and systematized; the practice of formation and development of regional labor market in general dynamics' context of employment processes is generalized; factors, which influence on regional labor market formation, are exposed and systematized; the necessity of formation of new approaches to national regional employment policy is sub stantiated; developing perspectives of the regional labor market and the sphere of employment allowing the regional specifics is appreciated. Novelty: the contents of some conceptions of market economy is determined; main social and economic factors, which influence on employment processes, are identified; the impossibility of unitary national employment policy is demonstrated; the expediency of national employment policy regional level's determination as base one is substantiated; the methodology for regulating regional employment processes is developed, organizational approaches to labor market development in industrial region are perfected; specific factors of regional labor market development are exposed and systematized; regional specifics' influence on labor market is assessed.
