Essay

The thesis is devoted to the problem of economic development of Armenian colonies in Galichina, Podolia and Bukovyna in the XIV-XIXth centuries. In the given scientific investigation the question of time and reasons of appearance of the Armenian colonies, their demographic development and migration within them, the main directions, circumstances and forms of organization trade, handicraft and agriculture are considered in complex for the first time. The periodization of the economic development of the colonies is proposed in the thesis. The author can draw a conclusion that the economic development is the main factor of the appearance, prosperity, decline and disappearance of the Armenian colonies.
