Mordvintsev V. Church-patrimonial Economy and Secularization Reform in Left Bank Ukraine in the 18 th Century.

The dissertation is the first complete research of the church (monasterial) economy and secularization reform in Left Bank Ukraine in the 18 th century. In the work the most important class of problems on this many-sided subject is analysed. The investigated problems are restoration and expansion of church patrimonies (votchyna) during and after the war of the Ukrainian people for independence in 1648-1657, the location of estates and peasants’ of feudal clergy in the 18 th c., the organization of patrimonial (votchyna) economic, agriculture, the development of manufacturing, monasteries’ budgets, the socio-economy population status of the cleric proprietors, the types of feudal obligations, the performance of taxes and obligations, the antifeudal protest of monasterial peasants, the adoption of the secularization reform.
