In this dissertation the change in the socio-economical status of the landowners of Ukrainian provinces in boundaries of Russian empire during the second half of the XIXth - the beginning of the XXth centuries are examined. The changes in quantitative, national and estate structure were charachterized. The evolution from landowners' to ounship in outestate was analysed. Such notions as lease, works, land deposits were examined. The sufficient organization of landowners economy was analyzed. The adaption of landowners' economies to the market was examined. The socio-psychological portrait of the Ukrainian landowners was represented.
