Essay

The dissertation investigates new - logistical direction of Economic and Social Geography-Economical-Geographical Logistics (EGL). Shown its scientific and theoretical essence and practical significance. Laid out methodological bases of EGL including investigations of Human Geography (USA) on spatial connections. Proposed author's methodics of topological modelling of territorial-logistical networks and systems. Fulfilled economical-geographical analysis of main parts of logistics: functional (procurement, production, distribution), providing (transportation, inventory, warehousing), and integral (quick response logistics, logistics in tourism, international logistics). Characterized geographical peculiarities of the logistical services' world market. Shown EU logistical strategy's regional aspects and projects. Presented US and NAFTA logistics market development. Carried out economical-geographical analysis of emerging Ukrainian market of transport and logistics services. Proved that Ukraine has extremely important place in the system of European and Transcontinental transport corridors and Pan-European transport areas (PETrA), especially in the Black Sea PETrA. Proposed measures on Ukraine's transit potential effective development. Defined ecological and geoinformative components of EGL. Worked out concept of ecologistics and shown ecologistical problems of microlevel (enterprise) and metalevel (world). Results of research are represented by 11 author's maps and schemes, which characterize geospatial organization of logistical activities.
