Essay

Object: interspecific hybridization, induced recombinogenesis and selective elimination. Aim: working out elements of theoretical bases for recombinational breeding and elaboration of untraditional methods, ways and biological modes for speeding up its main stages. Methods: biochemical, phytopathologic, cytologic, mathematical-static. Novelty: for the first time there is have been formed on solanaceae crops a new methodological approach to F1 as means of breeding. Methods of prognosis of heterotic effect in F1 and high genotypic variability in F2 are worked out. Localization of megaphenic genetic factors, which control quantitative signs, on tomato chromosomes (2, 6) is realized. There is revealed a recurrent group of cohesion (al-2, b) in sweet pepper. Results: there is solved an actual problem of breeding by optimization its main stages on the basis of working out new and supplementary elements for its theoretical foundations. The complex of methods and ways, ensuring early prognosis of broadened spectrum of genotypic variability in F2, is worked out and improved. Introduction extent: there are recommended the technology of breeding process on new methodologic basis, the complex of new and improved methods and ways; the tomato variety Orange entered in the Register of Plant Varieties of Ukraine. The field of introduction: breeding enterprises, agriculture.
