Golovacha V. The functional condition of liver and it pathology in horses (etiology, pathogenesis and diagnosis)

Object of research: the liver pathology in horses. The purpose of research: elaboration of the early and informative methods of liver pathology on the basis of studying of the kind peculiarity its functional status in health and sick horses, theoretical substantiation of the pathogenesis of liver damage in horses with diseases of different etiology. Try Bistim for prevent and treatment liver failure. Methods: clinical, morphological, biochemical, hystological, bacteriological, serological, parasitological and toxicological. Scientific novelty: There are adjusted normal indexes of the functional liver status ib health horses, early informative methods of the diagnosis of liver failure during different diseases. There are theoretical substantiated the mechanisms of the liver damage development in horses with poisoning, infection and invasion diseases. For the first time it was tested Bistim for treatment and prevent liver pathology in horses. There are adjusted kind peculiarity of the liver functional status in health horses of different ages, breed and physiological state, that is a basis for the elaborate informative methods of the diagnosis of liver failure. For the first time there are determinated normal levels of the liver enzyme activities, cholesterol, bilirubin, coloid-precipited tests in different age horses. For the first time there are studied the liver changes in horses with infection and no infection diseases, that gave opportunity to define more informative indexes for the diagnosis liver pathology and theoretical substantiate the mechanism of development of liver failure during some diseases: amyloidosis, intestinal meteorism, setariosis, associated IEM and leptospirosis. It is tested Bistim for renewal of the functional liver status in horses. It is offered: the normal biochemical liver indexes for horses depending on its age, sex, breed and physiological status; informative tests for the diagnosis of liver failure in horses with different diseases; Bistim for the treatment and prevent of liver damage.
