Essay

Thesis dedicated to the investigation national-cultural development in Ukraine in the times of struggle of Ukrainian people for independence in 1917-1920 yy. The main ways of national-cultural alterations in the times of revolution are showed based on the historiography sources and original materials. The role of the Ukrainian governments, local authorities, civil organizations, political parties, civil population is investigated. Influence of cultural transformations on the increasing of cultural educational level of Ukrainian people is revealed, the role and importance of cultural rise of nation for the establishing of young Ukrainian state, its economical and political strengthening. Acute political rivalry concerning national-cultural development is explored. The range of problems to be studied further is emphasized.
