The object - the concrete-historical forms of theoretical constructions of the analysis of conflict, which satisfy the level of conflict theory. The aim - to expose the peculiarities of forming and substantiate the basic tendencies of evolution of contemporary conflict theory in the western social philosophy. The analysis of dissertational materials is realized on the fundamental principles of scientific cognition. Novelty and results - for the first time the methodological bases of analysis of evolution of the western conflict theory are proposed, it's tendencies are exposed, the perspective directions of development are determined. Field of application - philosophy, sociology, politology, conflictology.
