The object of study - a visual thinking as the form of visual thinking activity of the subject. The aim of the work is developing of strategial-semantic approach to cognition of visual thinking activity, on base which to build its structured-functional model, and also on theorist-empirical level to study the mechanisms of the formation of visual thinking image. The methods - theorist-methodological analysis, historical-genetic, systematization, generalization, designing; observation, conversation, analysis of the activity products, testing, concrete methods (test of Raven, test of Fidler, test of R.Torrenc, methods of transformations of the visual image, methods of the color semantic differential), method of psychological reconstruction, biographical method; correlative and factorial analysis, determination to authenticity of the particularities; structured-functional, genetic. Novelty - new strategial -semantic approach to cognition of visual thinking activity is designed; structured-functional modelof the visual thinking is created; model of visual thinking strategy is built. Theoretical value - a determination of methodological base of studies of visual thinking activity; the design of strategial-semantic approach to cognition of this activity. Practical value - a design of strategial-semantic approach enables of modeling of the process of the visual thinking. The subject and degree of the introduction - is introduced in educational process of psychologist. Efficiency of the introduction - high.
