Dichek N. Heritage of A.S. Makarenko in the context of the world-pedagogical process of the 20th century (based on the materials of English sources)

The paper researches the historic-pedagogical phenomenon of the English language science of Makarenko as a branch of the world science of Makarenko. A problem-genetical analysis of the process of revelation and interpretation of the heritage of A.S. Makarenko (1888-1939) in the USA, Great Britain, Australia and Canada over the period beginning from the 20ies throughout the 20th century has been made. On the basis of study of the English language original sources the principal stages of the development of schools engaged in the science of Makarenko have been determined and characterized; the goals of appeal to ideas and experience of the pedagogue have been uncovered; typology of the leading theoretical and methodological approaches to the analysis and revelation of the heritage of the national pedagogue in conducted English language research has been explained. Internationalization of A. Makarenko's ideas in the social pedagogics of the world has been reflected and in this connection the English language schools uniting the scholars from Finland, Sweden and Brazil involved in the study of A. Makarenko works have been analyzed.
