Essay

The dissertation focuses on the study of the idea of all-rounded and harmonious education of the person in the of European Renaissance. It explores the genesis of this idea, retraces its preconditions, singles out its stades, examines its methodological and theoretical foundations, describes the formation of the Renaissance educational paradigm. The system analysis of the humanistic education is provided. The aim of this type of education, its principles, trends, methods and organizational forms are determined, the attemps to implement these ideas are described. The thesis characterizes the pedagogical ideal of the humanists and proves its variability in different regions of Europe. The evolution of the idea of all-rounded and harmonious education of the person in the age of European Renaissance is studied, its main tendencies contradictions on regularities are revealed. The further development of the humanistic pedagogical ideal in the XVII – XXI centuries is outlined. An attempt to determine the perspective of the idea of all-rounded and harmonious education in the postindustrial society is made the possibility of its incorporation into the modernization of education in Ukraine is discussed.
