Essay

The object is the history of the Ukrainian Liberal parties. The aim is the integrated renovation and comparing of development's, organizational and ideological process becoming practical activity of the Ukrainian and all-Russian Liberal parties. Methods - historical-genetical, comparative-historical, historical-typological, problem-chronological, synchronic, diachronic, retrospective, system-structural, classification, verification, exception, falsifying, statistical. The dissertation is the first in the Ukrainian historiography comprehensive research into the activities of the Ukrainian and Russian liberal, parties іs the period of 1900 - 1920. The comparative analysis of the political programs of different parties has been made, the difference in the demands of the Ukrainian and Russian liberals has been stated and the closeness of the Ukrainian liberalism to the social-democrats and European liberal movement has been shown. The liberal's pre-election struggle during the elections to the I - IV StateDumas and their parliamentary activities pertaining to the variety of Ukrainian problems have been studied. The author has also analyzed the activities of liberals in three Ukrainian states - the Central Rada and General Secretariat, Hetman Skoropadsky's government and me Directoria, and their role in and contribution into the revival of the Ukrainian statehood. The conclusion has been drawn that the Ukrainian liberalism is a element of the left-wing liberal-democratic movement. The spheres of use are the training courses and state policy.
