In the dissertation the theoretical-methodological and methodical bases of human-geographical forecasting of regional development are developed. The place, objects and subject essence of human-geographical science of future is determined, the stages its formation and development are allocated. The modern directions of researches of the regional development and forecasting at foreign human-geographical schools are analyzed. The essence of the regional development as object of the human-geographical forecasting is proved. The factors and laws of the regional development are revealed from the point of view of human geography.
