Andrukhiv I. The soviet power policy in the sphere of religion and confession life in Precarpathian region in 40 - 80th of ХХ century

The dissertation is devoted to the analysis of confessional life in Precarpathian region in 40 - 80-th of ХХ century in the conditions of total offensive of soviet power policy on religion. The policy was directed on destroying a church and religion. It was incarnated in practice by different methods with violation of current legislation and religious rights of citizens.The basic constituents of this policy were: total atheism, total removal from registration of religious societies, closing and destruction of cults buildings, repression against priests, destroying the cultural and historical and nationally-religious values of ethnic religious associations. Despite of used measures the purpose to destroy nationally-religious roots and originality of religious confessions and believers in Precarpathian region was not succeeded but the originality of religious confessions was saved and multiplied
