Essay

The place and role of the association in cultural-educational movement, forming of national consiousness, self-affirmation and consolidation of Ukrainians in the within-war period. Fuctioning peculiarities and structure of "Prosvita" main department, staff potential, sence and basic forms of activity are investigated. It is proved that a dominant role in the process of "Prosvita" activity was played by the orientation on consolidation of society and realization of national aspirations of Ukrainians.
