Essay

The technologies for wastewater treatment of electro-plating facilities with recycle of toxic nickel compounds and application of closed circuit water supply systems is developed. Arrangements for intensification of main installations are proposed. Mathematical models of wastewater treatment in upflow clarifier and in ion-exchange unit are plotted. Engineering calculation methods for basic operational parameters of the installa-tions are given. Research approbation of the calculation methods is carried out. Methods for regeneration of ex-hausted electrolytes and for utilization of galvanic sludge and eluates of ion-exchange filters with production of marketable products are developed. New materials from galvanic waste, abbreviated as nikelite and nikelite-T, for exchanging of binding oxides in ground enamels are created. This technology is implemented at the ukrainian industrial sites.
