Essay

The object of the following study is Ukrainian political movement in Naddnipr’anshina. The purpose of the study is to analyze the origin, development and functioning of the regional structures of Ukrainian political movement. In the above-mentioned research analytic, synthetic, logical, comparative-historical, typological-historical, statistical, synchronous and diachronous methods of inquiry as well as the methods of systematization, reconstruction and illustration have been used. The practical importance of the dissertation: its materials can be used for preparing lecture and seminar courses, academic and popular literature, educational supplies in the history of Ukrainian and Russian history of the XIX – early XX сt. It also can be used for carrying out comparative academic investigations in the field of Central-Eastern European history especially the processes of the origin of nations. In the dissertation the process of the formation and the organizational development of Ukrainian political movement regional structures in the Russian empire has been investigated on the base of the wide actual and analytical material concerning Left-bank Ukraine. The negative influence of the imperial policy on the spread of the national movement has been characterized. The general tendencies and local development features of the Ukrainian political movement in Left-bank Ukraine have been determined. The new data on the condition and dynamics of the regional sub-units of Ukrainian political parties and organizations, their composition, structure, practical activities, ideology, social contacts have been introduced into scientific use. On this basis the quantitative and qualitative characteristics of the national liberation movement of the late XIX – early XX ct have been specified.
