Essay

Dissertation is devoted to history, theory and practice of study of readers of libraries and reading, which are grounded by a concept in relation to the independent region of knowledges in the context of librarianship science, readership of library, his theorist-methodological bases are formulated. Represented historiography development of this direction of knowledge, the basic most rational aspects of bibliographical are analysed, studying of literature, labours of librarianship, as Ukrainian so Russian, where these questions develop actively. On the basis of the archived sources the theoretical reconstruction of study of readers of libraries of Ukraine is carried out. History of study was considered of readers in libraries from the second half XIX and to beginning XXI century and on this basis pre-conditions are shown and the basic stages of development of the Ukrainian library are certain readership. Considerable attention is spared to the theoretical comprehension of library readership as independent scientific discipline, that is conditioned, by development of Ukrainian librarianship as sciences, him differentiation on the special research discipline and directions, by absence of bases of library readership, by a public necessity in scientific cognition of personality of reader and his reader activity. The comprehension of elements of structure has allowed and author to define a library readership as scientific discipline with the object, subject, terminological device. Conception of the Ukrainian library is grounded readership as special librarianship. Prognosical descriptions of development of the Ukrainian library are given readership.
