Essay

The object of the research - bovine ringworm, specific prophylaxis of trichophytosis. The goal - developing of bivalent, live, dry, concentrated vaccine against bovine ringworm taking into consideration the etiological structure, biological properties and trichophytosis infectious agent selection. Methods of the research - retrospective epizootological analysis, epizootological experiment, biological experiment, mycological, serological, biochemical, statistical. Theoretical and practical results: The production method and components of bivalent, live, dry, concentrated vaccine against bovine ringworm were validated. Its prophylaxis and therapeutical doses as well as its harmlessness, prophylaxis and therapeutical effectiveness were determined. Vaccine and control trichophytosis strains were isolated, selected and deposited. The production technology of vaccine "Trichoderm" (ТУ У 24.4-19024865-002:2005) was developed. Methodical recommendations "The laboratory diagnostics of animal dermatomycoses", themethod of long term storage of dermatophytes strains and modified protective medium for their lyophilization were developed. Novelty: Theoretical and experimental substantiation of the production method and components of the vaccine "Trichoderm", the technology development of its industrial production. Etiological role of T. mentagrophytes and T. verrucosum in the occurrence of bovine ringworm. Biological properties of epizootic trichophytosis strains. Selection of vaccine and control trichophyton strains from epizootic cultures. The improvement of laboratory diagnostics of animal dermatomycoses. The mycelial method of dermatophyton strain storage, protective medium. Degree of implementation: vaccine "Trichoderm" (РС № 2503-04-0284-07) - in The Sumy state biological factory and in the antiepizootic measures of ringworm control system. Methodical recommendations were approved in the State department of veterinary medicine of Ukraine. Vaccine and control strains - in production of the vaccine "Trichoderm". Thesystem of dermatophyton culture long term storage and protective medium - in the storage of dermatophyton collections. Field of application - veterinary medicine, biotechnology.
