Object: Monastic Order of Basilian Fathers as component part of the Ukrainian Greek-Cathotic Church. Aim: on the basis of working of the archived and published documents, historical researches to find out principles and aims of Order of Sainted Basil Great, public mission of Basilians in national-political processes. Methods: historical-chronologic, problem-comparative, biographic. Results: the contribution of Basilians to the public-cultural processes in Ukraine is complex probed, influence of spiritual and religious factors on socio-political development of the Ukrainian people is system analysed.
