Gumenyuk M. Substantiation for application of infusion medications, containing sorbitol and sodium lactate in complex treatment of patients with respiratory failure and cor pulmonale

Object of research - respiratory failure, cor pulmonale, Sorbilact, Rheosorbilact. The purpose - increase of the efficacy in treatment of patients with respiratory failure and cor pulmonale by means of use infusion medications, containing sorbitol and sodium lactate. Methods of research - clinical, laboratorial, functional, mathematical-statistical. Results - the dissertation is dedicated to the study of pharmacodynamics effects of medicines Sorbilact and Rheosorbilact in patients with respiratory failure and cor pulmonale and evaluation of the efficacy and safety of these medications in complex treatment of patients. Diuretic effect of Sorbilact in combination with hemodilution, anti-aggregative and rheological properties in patients with respiratory failure and cor pulmonale, complicated by edema syndrome, are proved. Clinical use of Rheosorbilact in therapy of patients with respiratory failure and polycythemia are established. We proved that Rheosorbilact decreased level of hypocapnia and improvedacid-base balance of blood in patients with hypocapnia and respiratory alkalosis, and also decreased level of hypoxemia in patients with hypercapnia and respiratory acidosis. This makes it recommendable in patients with decompensation of cor pulmonale. Area of application - pulmonology, therapy.
