Dobrovolska G. Trade union of Ukraine (1997-2002).

In the dissertation on the basis of the analysis of a wide spectrum of historical sources and the scientific literature which significant part is unknown to researchers, complex and all-round studying the basic directions, new forms that of methods of activity of trade unions of Ukraine which have been directed on social and economic protection of hired workers, in 1997-2002 is carried out. In work it is emphasized, that the period of 1997-2002 for Federation of trade unions of Ukraine, its member organizations was the period of search and the active statement of the place and a role in a political life of the country. It was the period when the concept of trade-union work varied, its new strategy and tactics in conditions of economic and political reforming in Ukraine was defined. Affirms, that the basic function of trade unions during the researched period was protection of the social and economic rights and interests of hired workers, namely: the right on work and a wages, improvement of working conditions. The basic directions of activity of trade unions of Ukraine are analysed, the prioritiest are allocated.
