Essay

The object of study is the artistic picture of the world as a reflection of linguistic mechanisms participating in the process of organizing the conceptual and lexical system in the artistic space of the Russian narrative humorous satire of the early XXth century. The aim of study is to analyze the characteristic development features of the conceptual and lexical system in the Russian narrative humorous satire of the early XXth century which represent formation mechanisms of semantic space and conceptual sphere of the artistic picture of the world as dynamic forms of Russian linguistic mentality. The study techniques applied are corpus analysis, component analysis, quantitative and statistic analysis, positional analysis, prototype analysis, cognitive analysis, contextual interpretation. The novelty of the study is in its being the first to ever apply a systemic research to cognitive models that are means of an artistic mind’s representation and artistic picture of the world’s explication in works of the writers of a certain historic period. The work suggests and provides ground to the technique of describing the artistic meaning and the artistic definition as linguo-cultural code representatives. The process of lexical meaning transformation as motivated esthetically is associated with natural laws of creating speech images in belle-letter prose. The sphere of use is philology.
