Essay

New ways of solving a problem of future elementary school teachers' professional training for diagnostic activity have been presented. The concepts "professional activity" and "diagnostic activity" have been substantiated and updated on the basis of the theoretical resource analysis.A training system model of future elementary school teachers' ability for diagnostic activity has been created. Motivation, cognitive and operating components have been characterized. It has been demonstrated experimentally, that the worked-out methodology is highly efficient being successfully implemented into the process of taking elective courses in pedagogic, scientific-research work and teacher training practice. Suggested criteria, markers, levels of pedagogical diagnostic proficiency and the final assessment prove future teacher's readiness for pedagogical diagnostics.
