Opanasenko M. Diagnostic of pleural effusions of different origins, and optimization of their treatment

Investigation object - pleural effusions. Investigation aim - differential diagnosis optimization of pleural effusions by the way of creation of diagnosis algorithm with evaluation of informativeness of different (invasive and non-invasive) investigation methods and creation modern methods of local therapy for patients with this pathology. Investigation methods: anamnestic, clinical, roentgenological, laboratory, bronchoscopic, sonographic, endoscopic, statistic. Results: work proves and substantiates the need in a centralized statistical record keeping of pleural effusion syndrome. It defines advanced anamnestic, clinical, roentgenological, laboratory, bronchoscopic, sonographic, and endoscopic particularities of basic types of pleural effusion. It describes the informativity, levels of complication, indications and contra-indications for different methods of diagnostics. The work suggests new additional differential criteria for diagnostics of pleural effusion that faciltate and enhance the verification of the final diagnosis. It creates basic principles, stages and modern algorithm of differential diagnosis. The proposed new methods of local treatment of patients with pleural effusion of different origins and types of pathology occurrence help to reliably enhance the efficiency of therapy.
