Thesis is an integrated research, attempting for the first time to bring to light the development and typology of decorative and applied art of Crimean Tatars in between 15th and first half of the 20th centuries, of decorative and applied art and ornamental art as an integrated branch belonging to national artistic culture. The paper has stated the concept of the ornamental character of the Crimean Tatars Art through its forming on the basis of historical and cultural superposition's and all artistic experience accumulated by mankind in Crimea. The paper has shown the cultural and historical links with neighboring nations. This is the first paper that has developed the typology of products and constructive basics and also classification of ornaments. This is the first paper that has presented classification of the ornamental patterns, revealed characteristic features of Crimean Tatar symbolical context for major ornamental motive.
