Essay

The thesis deals with the problem of general pedagogy and history of pedagogy - the reformation of school education in Ukraine in XX century. The combination of organizational and pedagogical basis were characterized by a model. The model consists of purposes, principles, ways, results and experience of school reforms. Considerable attention is paid to the organizational basis of school reforms as the part of the state education. These organizational basis of school reforms were represented by the scheme (preparation, documents elaboration, realization, organizers, participants, initiators). The mechanisms of the realization of the organizational basis were also analyzed. The ideas of Ukrainian teachers about school reforms were analyzed in the thesis. These ideas show the degree of accordance between reforms, society needs and school. The thesis also focuses on the pedagogical basis of school reforms: the transformations of principles, ways and results, modern changes in school education, teaching and learning methods, improvement of teaching-learning process etc.
