Essay

The position, main stages and tendencies of the Russian Orthodox Church development in Ukraine of the last quarter of the XIX century are investigated all-embracingly. It is analysed in particular the evolution's peculiarities of the administrative and territorial structure and managerial system of the Orthodox Church in Ukraine. The specific character of trained staff in eparchies is shown in this work. It took into account the national identity among the episcopate, representatives of middle managerial staff and administration of religious educational institutions. The preference was given to ethnical Russians or to the graduates of academies and seminaries functioned beyond the Ukraine.
