Tsubenko V. Military settlements of cavalry in the territory of Ukraine. 1817-1867 (formation, social and economic development, way)

The object is military settlements of cavalry in the territory of the Russian Empire. The purpose is the complex analysis of various aspects of history of the Ukrainian (Kharkov), Novorossiysk (Kherson) and Kyiv-Podolsk military settlements of cavalry for the sake of finding out of features and general tendencies of existence, determining of their role, position and value in social and economic processes of Slobodskaya, Pravoberezhnaya and Southern Ukraine. Methods: descriptive, historically-statistical, comparative-historical, classifications and division into periods, chronological, retrospective, system. Practical value of the received results of dissertational research consists in an opportunity of their versatile application during scientific and teaching activity. The dissertation enriches cumulative scientific works of domestic and foreign scientists by elimination of separate historiographic stereotypes. It assists expansion of a spectrum of scientific knowledge on a history of military settlements of cavalry in Ukraine. Theoretical results of the research - the monographies written and published on the basis of the dissertation, the collection of documents, scientific articles, all of them are already used in study of universities, institutes, colleges and schools, in particular at teaching special courses "The economic history of Ukraine" and "The military history of Ukraine".
