Essay

The dissertation deals with the theoretical and methodological principles of cultural geography as a separate scientific realm (subsystem) of the Ukrainian human geography. A new periodisation of the cultural-geographical approach development in the world and Ukrainian science is proposed. The principles are developed for the structuring of cultural geography, and the three main disciplines as well as the three non-main disciplines are delineated. The methodology of geocultural studies is described.
