Stupak F. Charity and social care in Ukraine (end of XVIII – begin of XX century).

Based on published and archival documents, most of which were first involved in scientific use, held a constructive review of scientific literature on the problems of the history of philanthropy and social care, the process of design of public support at crucial stages of socio-historical development; retraced the genesis of the national public and private forms of protection and support for different categories of poor, based on the theoretical study of past heritage in aid to poor and conceptually identified the major historical trends in design research paradigm of social assistance in Ukraine, the peculiarities of the social orders of public care, county and city government, which contains many rational and of creativity can be useful in designing and implementing a modern social policy.
