The research deals with complex philosophical analysis of religious values in order to substantiate determinants which enhance and reinforce their consolidating function in the development of society. It is proved that the fundamental value of the spiritual spheres of people's life are human and civil dignity. It is ascertained that potentially and actually the most powerful consolidating function in the system of spiritual values is the humanistic values of law and rule-of-law state and the key value of consolidating philosophy is the "human right". The role and place of Orthodoxy in the system of spiritual values in the Ukrainian confessional pluralism is analyzed. It is proved that historical Orthodox values are the most harmonious to the traditional spirituality of the majority of the people of Ukraine. Being basis of the folk ideas, they keep Ukrainian cultural identity, linking it with the rest of the Orthodox world and hold together quite different civilized regions of the country. It is proved that the mechanism of enhancing and strengthening of the consolidating function of moral values in the development of Ukrainian society is cultivation of humanocentrism, tolerance and distinctive cultural traditions and values of organized society, assimilation of perfectionist legal and ethical paradigm and restrictive conception of morality, directly associated with Christianity, whose ethics is the most adequate to the experience of true morality
