The dissertation analyzes religious life in Soviet Ukraine in the middle 1940s - 80s on the basis of wide sources. The main object of attention is ordinary believers, their religiousness and daily religious life. The issue is examined on the wide sociopolitical and cultural background. Religious policy of Soviet power, its influence on the religious life of Ukraine and other secularisational factors, main moments of internal life of religious confessions in Soviet Ukraine, net of religious organizations, quantitative composition of believers, their social and demographic descriptions are elucidated.
