Chernienko V. Identity of social subject in the context of sociocultural transformations.

The object is dynamics of sociocultural realities. The aim is to carry out the complex theoretical-methodological analysis of a phenomenon of Identity of social subject in the context of sociocultural transformations, to study its nature and functions. The methods are the comparative-critical analysis; dialectic, phenomenological, existential, system, structurally functional, socially-typological, activities, synergetic approaches; methods of unity historical and logical, modelling. It is implemented a complex theoretical and methodological analysis of the phenomenon of identity of social subject in the context of sociocultural transformations based on revised conceptual presentations about the phenomenon of identity of social subject and forms of its display in modern sociocultural transformations. It is explained the essence as well as peculiarities of social systems of transformative type. It is investigated the dynamics of marginal consciousness of social subject in transitive societies for which a modernization based on own national identity or modernization without westernization is considered to be optimal. It is proved that multiculturalism as well as cultural pluralism naturally grows from politics of overtures with minorities to the right for the individuals to choose her/his identity which is to be confirmed by the principle of law of freedom of thought hence by responsibility for the consequences of self-definition.
