Essay

Object: educational-upbringing process at higher educational establishments of Ukraine; aim: to systematize theoretical bases, to generalize peculiarities of the experience of practice of students upbringing at higher pedagogical educational establishments; methods: analysis, synthesis, generalization. On their basis scientific problem modern theoretical basis of students’ personality upbringing at higher pedagogical educational establishments have been reflected in complex; scientifically proved periodization of upbringing process at higher educational establishments; each of distinguished periods has been characterized from the point of view of the essence, tendencies, contradictions, their comparative-pedagogical analysis has been done; results: theoretical-methodological basis have been substantiated, categorical set has been defined; historiography of the problem has been shown; modern theoretical basis of students’ personality upbringing; contexts, forms of upbringing activity with the students at higher educational establishments; tendencies of students upbringing at higher pedagogical educational establishments during each of the distinguished periods have been revealed, characterized; branch – general pedagogic, history of pedagogic.
