The dissertation is the first complex research of the life of Ukrainian civil forced workers of Reich from Vollyn and Podillya regions in the postwar USSR and in its final period, as well as in moodern sovereign Ukraine. In the wide historical retrospective on the basis of archives and published documents, most of which were used in the science of research for the first time, the legal and social conditions of former ostarbiters from Vollyn and Podillya regions during the final period of the Second World War, the peculiarities of their liberation and repatriation, the formation of the third wave of Ukrainian imigration, the difficulties of adaptation of repatriants in the Soviet State were analysed there. The strategy of their behavior in the conditions of totalitaryzm was also analysed there. The factors of the transformation of repatriants into the forgotten social group in the Soviet State, the process of returning of historical justice to the victims of Nazi pursuit in the Independent Ukraine were determined in this work.
