The thesis considers the theoretical and methodological principles of research and its conceptually categorical apparatus; the main trends of development of childcentrism ideas in the foreign and native pedagogy of the second half of the ХIX-th century - early XX-th century are outlined; the principle stages of childcentrism development in the underlined period are grounded and theoretically justified. The research work characterizes theoretical foundations of childcentrism pedagogics, studies its socio-economic ranges and humanitarian priorities. It identifies the key tendencies of childcentrism development, inherited in the researched period.
