The analysis of diagnosis and treatment of 388 children with the liver and biliary tract cysts was performed. There were 212 (54.64%) - with liver echinococcal cyst, 75 (19.33%) - non-parasitic liver cysts, and 101 (26.03%) - with biliary tract cysts. The new methods of surgical treatment of the liver and biliary tract cysts in children were objectified and developed. Designed set of measures which are pathogenetically justified and were implemented to guarantee the sanitation and de-epithelization of cysts of the liver. A new minimally invasive method of treating children with the liver cysts under the guidance of Ultrasound and X-ray was developed and introduced into clinical practice. Developed and implemented new ways to eliminate the parasitic and non-parasitic residual cyst cavities of various locations. We introduce an original method of cholecystectomy and proved the importance of the anti-reflux valve during surgical correction of choledochal cyst which improved treatment of this anomaly in children. The proposed tactics of surgical treatment in children with liver and biliary tract cysts made it possible to avoid mortality and minimize the postoperative complications and achieved a complete absence of relapse.
