The dissertation researches informational-emotional and topical content of children's TV programs, peculiarities of perception of television programs by children of all ages and the impact of television on young audience in Ukraine. The dissertation analyzes the evolution of children's screen communication in Ukraine, the specific conditions of the emergence and development of children's cinema and television in Ukraine (1896 to 2011). It summarizes the Ukrainian practical experience of making children's programs, identifies major topics, trends, peculiarities of informational-emotional impact and considers the prospects for children's television.
