The thesis studies and gives grounds to conceptual-method foundations and scientific research methods of industrial development of Ukraine in inter-war period from 1921 to 1941 on the basis of various sources, analyses their reasons, essence, complexity and peculiarities. The thorough analysis has been performed over the different aspects of the chosen subject matter, namely the factors that resulted in initiating, preparing and decision making concerning the development of strategic course and changes in industry. The most important legal acts, principles and characteristic properties, according to which the denationalization of industry was carried out caused by transference to NEP have been studied. Large enterprises stayed national, the were united into trusts subordinated to Ukrradnargosp. Small and medium-sized companies comprised the private sector, including private companies, their assemblies and rented companies, craft shops. From the late 20s under conditions of Soviet industrialization the Soviet Power eliminated the private sector of economy by non-economic methods. The absolute majority of industries was nationalized, socialistic, and in the early 1930s, as a result of Soviet economic system got subordinated to Narkomdazhprom and local authorities. A very important integral part of the research is the analysis of the aspects of development and administration in the Ukrainian industry, not very well studied, research of conditions of operation of private ownership under NEP conditions, reasons of its elimination. It has been proven that the decision to finish the first and second five-years ahead of schedule was authoritative, though the output of most important products had not been completed. The thesis gives a comprehensive analysis of industrial development of Ukraine from transference to NEP, under conditions of multi-structured economy to Soviet industrialization in Ukrainian Soviet Socialistic Republic, which makes it possible to regard the dynamics and peculiarities of ambiguous process, find out how the industrial complex of Ukraine was formed, being a part of the USSR economy. The thesis comes to conclusions as of the subject of the research and makes proposals concerning the use of the experience of 1920 to 1930s under contemporary conditions of multi-structured economy of independent Ukraine.
