The dissertation contains a holistic conception of "Philosophy of elderly age" in existential and socio-cultural context as a fundamentally new direction of research. The phenomenon of elderly age is considered from the viewpoint of an interdisciplinary approach. An approximate model of social work with elderly people is developed.
