Essay

The thesis investigates the philosophy of hospitality as the core of tourism. Hospitality thus regarded as a care, the capacity of tourist facilities to ensure comfort, good health of its subjects - travellers - in all aspects of the humanistic, cultural sence. Features of hospitality and tourism philosophy are analysed from the perspective of the global change inherent in the modern world. The thesis presents the analysis of ambivalence of cultural tourism, which on the one hand, serves to validate the technologies of mass culture consumption, and on the other hand, is an alternative to cultural values leveling.
