Essay

The given research investigates the modification and explication of metaphysical fear in the protestant version of existentialism. In part, it is researched that the religious protestant metaphysical fear appears when the very existence of a person becomes a problem, when old values are ruined and new ones are not yet formed and the person’s belief reveals its apofathy and transcendence. It is proved that a specific example of fear is fear before God. It can be explained by the world outlook of the Christian personalism and Protestantism and dialectical character of interaction between Old and New Testament complex of ideas in christianity.
