The thesis for the first time in Ukrainian historiography implemented holistic, synthetic analysis of all periods biography, social and political activities and work of the outstanding Ukrainian thinker of Polish origin V. Lypynsky (1882 - 1931) against former life of Ukraine and the Ukrainian emigration of the first third of the twentieth century. On a wide range of documentary sources, both published and found in the archives, covered all areas of its activity - scientific, political, cultural, educational, publishing, journalistic, for the protection of monuments of culture and art, and diplomatic. Identify and adjust the chronology of the most important events in the life figure, played a number of unknown or little-known biographical episodes. Made new significantly adjusted bibliographical list of his works.
