Petrov O. Semantic Fields in the Ideographic Modeling of the Russian Lexicon

Object: multilevel units that are grouped around semantic invariants such as дати життя кому (to give birth to sb), позбавити життя кого (to take away life / to deprive of life ) and схожий на те… (being like…). Objective: to determine characteristics of the field Russian lexicon’s organization that reflects the mechanisms of basic concepts дати життя кому (to give birth to sb), позбавити життя кого (to take away life / to deprive of life ) and схожий на те… (being like…) which are relevant to the Russian linguistic consciousness. Methods: the general scientific analytical and descriptive; the method of semantic field building; the method of component analysis. Scientific novelty: for the first time in the Russian philology the method of predicate-actant fields’ building has been proposed. Practical value: the opportunity to use in the courses of modern Russian literary language, general linguistics, lexicography.
