Dianova N. Scitntific-educational activity of the highest orthodox clergy of the Southern Ukraine (the end of the XVIII - the beginning of the XX century).

Object of the research - leading Orthodox clergymen of Southern Ukraine. Aim of the research - elucidation of scientific and educational work of the leading Orthodox clergymen of Southern Ukraine at the end of XVIII - beginning of XX century and estimation of their contribution to the development of historic science, education and church activities. Methods of the research - general scientific methods, special historic methods, special methods of source study. Main results may be used as the basis for further scientific research of Orthodox church development and activities of its leading clergymen. Scientific novelty of the achieved results lies in the complex study of scientific and educational activity of leading Orthodox clergy of Southern Ukraine at the end of XVIII - beginning of XX centuries. They can be used in general lecture courses, in textbooks of history of Ukraine and of religion studies, in universities for preparation of special courses on the topic of the thesis.
